Practical measuring and care guidance for Roller, Zebra and Roman blinds, adapted from Safra’s product guide. Curtain measurements and care depend on the selected fabric and installation; confirm these details with our team.
01
Before requesting your quote
Have a tape measure, pencil and paper ready.
Measure the inside width of the window frame at the top, middle and bottom. Write down all three readings.
Measure the height at the left, center and right. Keep all three readings with your notes.
Choose inside or outside mounting, or ask us to help you decide.
Enter width and height with the correct units. Add the other readings, room name and fabric choice to your request.
For a preliminary quote, the guide records the largest width and height. Keep all readings: the mounting type and selected system determine the final manufacturing dimensions.
The blind fits inside the window frame. Send the inside width and height so we can confirm the space needed for installation.
Outside mount
The blind mounts outside the window frame and covers the window. Tell us about the available wall space and how far you want it to extend beyond the frame.
Mounting examples in the Safra guide
The guide illustrates adding 10–14 cm to the total width and height for outside mounting, or subtracting 1 cm from the total width and height for inside mounting. The adjustment is to the total, not to each side.
These are reference examples for the systems in the guide. Do not apply them automatically or deduct twice: send your actual measurements and let Safra confirm the correct final size for your selected product.

Keep your blinds looking their best
Dust gently with a feather duster, or vacuum with a soft brush attachment. Avoid chemical cleaning products.
Operate the chain vertically, gently and at a moderate speed. Do not pull on the fabric or profiles, or rest objects against them.
Raise the blind before opening the window, and keep it raised during building work or exposure to dust or moisture.
Keep the original components and chain or cord safety hardware installed. Ask your installer to confirm that the safety device is secured.
Light fabricsClean every 3 months.
Dark fabricsClean at least twice a year.
Follow the instructions supplied with your specific product. Ask Safra about maintenance or lubrication before applying any product to the mechanism.
